The true color of shadows collection

True Colors of Shadows was the culmination of my BFA in Fashion Design and one of the most meaningful projects of my academic journey. Created as my senior collection and presented at Charleston Fashion Week 2017, it challenged me to combine concept development, textile experimentation, and craftsmanship into a cohesive body of work.

Every smocked textile in the collection was handcrafted, a process that required patience, precision, and countless hours of work. Having my mom by my side, helping create each smocked panel, made the experience even more special and turned the collection into a true collaboration rooted in dedication and care.

Seeing the designs come to life on the runway was incredibly rewarding. This project reinforced my appreciation for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the power of design to transform an idea into an emotional experience. Even today, it remains one of the projects I am most proud of because it reflects not only my creativity but also the passion and perseverance behind every piece.
